about lease2own dream home

We started this company because the right people kept getting the wrong answer.

In 2017, after one too many conversations with families who had done everything right and still couldn't buy a home, we started Lease to Own Dream Home.  We operate by a single rule we borrowed from Dave Thomas: We do what we say we will do when we say we will do it. No fine print, no surprises, no excuses. The families in our program and the sellers we worked with know us by it.

How a 2008 crash turned into a 2017 company and an 8-year mission.

Tom came up in real estate the hard way, starting before the 2008 crash, surviving it and watching what came after. The crisis didn't just blow up the housing market; it rewrote mortgage qualification in ways that have quietly locked out millions of capable buyers ever since.

  • The recently divorced
  • The medically recovered
  • Anyone whose financial story doesn't fit a 1990s W-2 template

After the 10th time he heard the bank said no from someone who clearly had the means to own, Tom built a program we now call Flex-Lease. The point wasn't to invent a new financial product; it was to give people who had been written off by the system a real, structured, ethical way to get into a home they were already capable of owning. Eight years later that is still the only thing we do.

Our story in four moments.
